MISSION OF CENTRE

·         To produce nationally acceptable Human Resources in Gojri & Pahari Languages.

·         World-class research practices in Regional Languages of PirPanjal.

·         To evolve the CRGPKL as global Resource Centre for Regional Languages of PirPanjal.

OBJECTIVES

1.      Introduction of Gojri, Pahari & Kashmiri Languages as Elective Subjects in SEM II of PG Courses (CBCS)

2.      Introduction of Certificate Courses in Gojri, Pahari & Kashmiri Languages

3.      Refresher & Orientation Courses in Gojri, Pahari & Kashmiri Languages for Teachers & Lecturers, during summer vacations

4.      Introduction of PG (M.A) Courses in Gojri, Pahari & Kashmiri Languages –

5.      Introduction of Fellowships for ddocumentation of endangered dialects of Regional Languages

6.      Introduction of Fellowships for documentation of tribal culture (Language, Arts & Artifacts and PTGs)

7.      Making CRGPKL a Centre of Excellence (COE)

7.      Establishment of Tribal Research Institute with the help of Ministry of Tribal Affairs J&K and MOTA, Government of INDIA.

Proposed Coordination with other Institutions:

1.      Coordinate with Universities where these languages are already part of curricula.

2.      Approach CIIL Mysuru for workshops and Research Projects

3.      Approach Sahitya Academy and UGC for appropriate actions necessitated from time to time.

4.      Seek cooperation from Academy of Art Culture & Languages.–

5.      Approach central Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) and JK Tribal Affairs Department for various Research Projects.
