DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

The University offers a diploma in the following programmes:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Eligibility for Admission

Candidates applying for admission to Three Year Diploma programmes must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

  • Secondary School (Matriculation) Certificate from any recognized Board of School Education.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination and those whose result of the same is awaited can also apply provisionally.

DURATION OF DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES: 03 years (06 Semesters)

INTAKE: 60

FEE STRUCTURE

In each stream:

  • 40 seats shall be filled as per the fee decided by Government of JKUT
  • 20 seats shall be filled as per University Fee @ Rs 4,600/- per semester to be paid at the start of the respective semester.

LATERAL ENTRY DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

The University has a provision for lateral admission of eligible candidates in the third semester of the three year diploma programmes.

Eligibility for Admission

  • Matric with two years Draftsmanship course in appropriate/relevant branch from a Govt./Govt. Recognized Institute.
  • OR
  • Matric with two years diploma in relevant/appropriate trade/branch from a Govt./Govt. recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI).
  • OR
  • 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry, Math.

DURATION OF LATERAL ENTRY DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES: 02 years (04 Semesters)

INTAKE: Number of vacant seats out of total sanctioned intake of 60. In case there are no vacant seats available the 15% of total sanctioned intake, which will be 15% of 60 = 9.

FEE STRUCTURE

Rs 4,600/- per semester to be paid at the start of the respective semester.
