The department of Physics, School of Material Science and Nanotechnology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, is one among the recently created centre in the University. The Depart-ment offers B.Sc (Hons), M. Sc. and Ph. D. program in Physics and is relentlessly carrying out num-ber of academic activities. The degree programs have a balanced, semester and choice-based credit course structure with flexible, seamless curricula which emphasize interdisciplinary nature of science and promote exploration, innovation and research. In addition, it provides opportunity to carry out a research dissertation in any of the following sub-specialities: Material science & Nanotechnology, Electronics, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics, Laser Physics & spectroscopy. The syllabus is designed in such a way that students can qualify prestigious National level tests like NET/SET/GATE/JEST to secure Ph.D admission in any reputed institutes of country. The pass out students can also qualify various job-related exams JKPSC, BARC etc.
