This is the first Honours Programme launched in Jammu & Kashmir State. The Honours programme is of 3 years duration, comprising 6 Semesters.
Eligibility for Admission to PG Courses
Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) or any other degree equivalent thereto from a recognized university with Arabic, Islamic Studies and Urdu respectively for the three Ph D Courses as one of the subjects.
Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the Final Year examination of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply provisionally.
Procedure
For admission to Masters in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Urdu programme all eligible candidates are required to undergo written Entrance Test which will be conducted at BGSB University Campus, Rajouri & at any other Centres if the University so decides..
Syllabus and Model Question Paper for the Entrance Test will be available on the University website from where these can be downloaded. Admit Card for Entrance Test will be collected by the candidates from the Department, Branch or Regional Offices of the University.
Admission will be based on the Combined merit of students in the Entrance Test & the qualifying examination.
M. Phil. and Doctoral Programmes
The admission to these programmes is based on merit in the entrance test.
Admission to M. Phil. and Ph. D Programmes will be notified subject to availability of seats.
